Jacolyn Brown

I had the pleasure of growing up in North Canaan, getting my first job on a local dairy farm and eventually working at my husband's family business; Lone Oak Campsites in East Canaan. Growing up in this small community, you got to know everyone in the neighborhood and felt like you were part of a larger family. The Canaan community is a large family, with many organizations that provide services for the residents The Canaan Foundation is one of those organizations, allowing us to fill in where there is a need.

Ron Dower

Ron is a lifetime resident of North Canaan. He is a retired guidance counselor, teacher, and coach who worked at Housatonic Valley Regional High School. Ron is very involved in the St. Martin of Tours Catholic church community.

Linda Peppe

I love the wonderful town of North Canaan and am honored to live here. I have been teaching at North Canaan Elementary School for 36 years, raised my family here, and have a deep connection with this small, yet vibrant community that I am proud to call home. It has been a privilege to be on the Canaan Foundation board; helping to support organizations who are the lifeblood of our community.

Jaime Crane

I have the fondest memories of growing up in North Canaan.  I am now grateful to be working and raising my family here.  I have taught at North Canaan Elementary School for the past 26 years, I have coached many sports teams, and I enjoy watching my three children grow up in this wonderful community.  I am honored to be serving on the Board of The Canaan Foundation so that I can help to support the organizations that help our small town.

Mary Perotti, President

As a North Canaan native, I am excited to be the current Board President of The Canaan Foundation. I am currently 4th generation working in my family plumbing and heating business alongside my brother and father.  I am proud to be part of a family that has embodied community support  for generations. My grandfather is one of the founding board members and I am eager to continue the great work this foundation has accomplished for years to come.

Amanda Freund, Vice President

I returned to my family’s farm in 2012 after serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia. I’m proud to work with my dad in our CowPots business in East Canaan and to volunteer with The Canaan Foundation in its mission of enhancing the quality of life for North Canaan residents.

Darrel Long, Treasurer

Darrel Long is a resident of North Canaan and moved here in 2001 to raise his family and work in the local banking community.  He volunteers some of his time to the Canaan Fire Company and have been the treasurer for the Canaan Foundation for many years. “I am proud to live in this small and well-connected community where neighbors help neighbors”.

Audra Leach, Secretary

Audra Leach is a resident of North Canaan and has been an educator for 15 years. She enjoys hiking, gardening, photography, and raising beef cattle with her partner Dan.

Cody Riva

A lifelong resident of Canaan, I have dedicated my career to the family business Lindell Fuels where tradition and community intertwine. I value the importance of local traditions and community relationships. Ive always had a passion for music and food, and enjoy exploring new culinary experiences.

Nancy Mahoney

I love living in North Canaan because of the wonderful people who work and volunteer to make our town a better place. This town is a gem of a place filled with people who look to make it better than they found it.  I'm grateful my children grew up in such a wonderful place with a great sense of community.

Eliza Rosler

I was thrilled to move back to Canaan with my family in 2020. When not chasing after my two rambunctious boys, I am busy gardening, cooking, baking, biking and hiking. I am thrilled to be part of the Canaan Foundation and to help support the many organizations that make Canaan such a special community.
